about CTPD

CT Planning and Development was established in 2014 by Chris Turner. Chris studied planning at Oxford Brookes University, graduating in 1992. He holds an honours degree in planning, and post-graduate diplomas in both planning and surveying, from Brookes and the Unversity College of Estate Management, respectively.  He is a chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.

Chris worked for 20 years in leading national consultancies, based in London, where he built up experience of working on a wide range of schemes, from house extensions and shop advertisements to town centre expansions and regional distribution parks.  He acted for developers, housebuilders, financial institutions, landowners, education institutions and student housing providers.  He appeared as an expert witness at public inquiries and examinations in public.

After the leaving the large consultancies, Chris set up his own practice and also worked as the in-house planning manager for a start-up development company.

Chris and his associates provide reports and statements to support planning applications and appeals.  He also works with the full range of specialists that can be needed to support development schemes, such as architects, arboriculturalists, transportation engineers, heritage consultants, ecologists, air and noise consultants, contamination specialists, property agents and lawyers.
